New SOYO
Motherboards Feature ATI RADEON 9100 IGP Chipset June 1st,
2004
ONTARIO, CA
– SOYO®, Inc. (OTCBB: SOYO), a manufacturer of award-winning motherboards,
computer peripheral, barebone systems and wireless networking products,
has announced the SY-P4RS350 and SY-P4RC350 -- a pair of mATX motherboards
based on ATI’s Desktop 9100 IGP Series chipset
architecture.
Television
monitors, multiple PC monitors, or a combination of up to nine active TVs
and monitors can all plug directly to the motherboards with ATI’s
trademarked SURROUNDVIEW feature. Both the SY-P4RS350 and SY-P4RC350
support Intel’s Pentium 4 Prescott Processor with Hyper-Threading
Technology up to 800 MHz FSB, 3D Graphics with 128MB main memory
configurable as display memory, 8X AGP slot, 6-channel Stereo Audio,
10/100 LAN port, and high-speed USB2.0. The SY-P4RS350 has Dual-Channel
DDR400 / 4 DIMM up to 4GB (Single-channel DDR400 / 2 DIMM up to 2 GB on
the SY-P4RC350 model).
With its
support of ATI’s RADEON 9100 PRO IGP feature-rich chipset, SOYO provides
the perfect foundation for building a cost-effective multimedia PC or
entry level gaming platform as well as system stability and investment
protection as the industry moves toward next-generation 3D operating
systems.
The
SY-P4RS350 and SY-P4RC350 motherboards are both enhanced by onboard 128MB
video memory, which supports 2D/3D graphic and SURROUNDVIEW. Both mATX
boards also feature integrated LAN-READY Ethernet controllers and S-Video
and Composite video outputs that support PAL/NTSC television
formats.
SOYO has
embedded Surround Sound on both boards, which saves valuable expansion
slots. The embedded on board CMI 9739 AC97 audio chipset provides a
6-channel audio solution for true Surround Sound
effects.
The boards
come with all the standard I/O’s such as PS/2 (for mouse and keyboard),
two serial RS-232 ports, a parallel printer port, Serial ATA, and six USB
2.0 ports (2 rear, 4 pin header).
SOYO Releases the
Multi-Media Ready “Instant Boot-up” SY-P4VAL Version M
Motherboard March 5th, 2004
ONTARIO, CA -- SOYO® Group,
Inc. (OTCBB: SOYO), a manufacturer of award-winning motherboards, computer
peripheral, barebone systems and wireless networking products, has
released the SY-P4VAL Version M, an “all-in-one” motherboard, which
features an "instant boot-up" feature to deliver true multimedia
performance.
SOYO’s SY-P4VAL is a
user-friendly Pentium 4-based motherboard with an interface for “Media
Center” functionality that allows users to have DVD and CD or CD-R with
MP3 playback or operate a TV tuner card without an operating system. The
technology allows a PC's entertainment functions to turn on almost
instantly with a range of functions, such as fast-forward, rewind, and
jumping from track to track.
The key is the unique BIOS and
multimedia menu that SOYO developed specifically for media centers. The
instant menu gives the user the opportunity to select from an assortment
of multimedia icons based on the installed multimedia peripherals—MP3, CD,
VCD, DVD, and TV—before the system boots or even without a resident
operating system. Like a TV, the multimedia menu loads in less than 10
seconds from switching-on the computer, which makes any of these connected
multimedia peripherals immediately available.
The board provides integrated
networking capability, onboard graphics and embedded Stereo Sound audio
that enables users to build multifunctional units utilizing SOYO’s
state-of-the-art components. SOYO’s SY-P4VAL v.M is a ATX motherboard,
supporting up to 3.06 GHz Pentium 4 processors using a 533 MHz FSB, and
features DDR memory support, on-board AC97 Codec 6-ch audio, S3 Graphics
ProSavage8™ integrated graphics, 10/100 Mbps LAN, high-speed USB
2.0.
The SY-P4VAL is the first in a
series of products SOYO is developing for the consumer/media center
market. Watching TV requires a TV tuner card that Soyo will bundle with
the board. Playing back DVDs and CDs uses the VIA chipset's onboard audio
and video logic.
